•I have talked to you guys about self care and how my goal for 2019 is to take care of myself. Well self care doesn’t only mean taking care of your mental health, but your physical as well. The first picture was taken December 21,2018 and the second picture was taken tonight January 24, 2019.
•Everyone should find themselves a facial routine and be consistent with it. There’s that word again consistent. Consistency is the key for all skin routines.
*Cleaning normal/ combo skin; Putting any type of soap on your face is a big no-no, but don’t feel like you have to buy the expensive products either. Clean the face with a gentle cleanser with your fingers. (Don’t scrub) rinse with warm water and pat dry. *if your skin dries out or gets oily change cleansers.
*Dry skin; Use a gentle cleanser that doesn’t contain alcohol or fragrances. (It could dry skin out more) rinse with warm water. *Don’t use hot water it removes natural oils from your face faster. Once a week try exfoliating to get rid of flakey skin. It makes the skin look clear and more even.
*Cleaning Oily Skin; Use an oil-free foaming cleanser to wash your face. Rinse with plenty of warm water. You may want to use a toner or astringent after, but be careful because it might irritate your skin. These products can remove extra oil, which makes your face less shiny, and help keep skin clean.
*Cleaning Sensitive Skin; Wash your face with a gentle cleanser and rinse with warm water. Don't rub your skin with a towel -- gently pat it dry. Exfoliating may irritate sensitive skin. Try not to use products that have alcohol, soap, acid, or fragrance. Instead, look on the label for calming ingredients like aloe, chamomile, green tea polyphenols, and oats. The fewer ingredients in a product, the happier your face may be.
After cleansing the face apply an alcohol free toner and moisturize your face.
No matter what type of skin you have the biggest key to a clear face is DRINKING WATER!
